JACKSON E. (PETE) FIELDS, JR., Retired
Jackson E. (Pete) Fields, Jr. is a well known estate and retirement planning tax attorney in South Carolina. His estate and retirement planning workshops have been widely attended by retirees around the state, and especially in the South Carolina Upstate. Pete has concentrated his estate and financial practice on helping well over 1,000 retirees arrange their legal and financial matters to avoid mistakes with their assets and money to protect their capital from taxes and nursing home confinement, and increase their income.

He has made numerous presentations on estate planning, employee benefits, retirement planning and other tax topics to his workshop attendees, other attorneys, CPAs, and financial professionals around the country.

In 1973, Pete was admitted to practice before all the Courts in South Carolina, and subsequently the United States District Court in South Carolina, the Fourth Circuit Court of Appeals, the United States Supreme Court, and the United States Tax Court. Pete is a member of the South Carolina Bar where he is a member of the Tax Section and the Probate, Estate Planning and Trust Section.

Pete served several years as a Special Agent with the Federal Bureau of Investigation and as an Assistant Attorney General with the Tax Division of the South Carolina Attorney General's Office. He is a Colonel (Ret.), U.S. Army Reserves. Pete lives with his wife, Arden, in Clemson, and they have two daughters.
