Pete
graduated from Clemson University with a B.A. in Economics.
He was awarded his Juris Doctor Degree from the University of South
Carolina and his Masters of Law and Taxation Degree from the Marshall
Wythe School of Law at the College of William and Mary.
He has made numerous presentations on estate planning, employee
benefits, retirement planning and other tax topics to his workshop
attendees, other attorneys, CPAs, and financial professionals around the
country.
In 1973, Pete was admitted to practice before all the Courts in
South Carolina, and subsequently the United States District Court in South
Carolina, the Fourth Circuit Court of Appeals, the United States Supreme
Court, and the United States Tax Court.
Pete is a member of the South Carolina Bar where he is a member of
the Tax Section and the Probate, Estate Planning and Trust Section. Pete is also a member of the National Academy of Elder Law
Attorneys.
Pete served several years as a Special Agent with the Federal
Bureau of Investigation and as an Assistant Attorney General with the Tax
Division of the South Carolina Attorney General's Office.
He is a Colonel (Ret.), U.S. Army Reserves.
